🏈🏎️ Friday Night Betting Edge — NFL Preseason & NASCAR Trucks at Richmond

Friday, August 15, 2025 brings a rare combo for bettors: a pair of NFL preseason matchups and a short-track showdown in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Preseason football is all about snap counts and depth charts, not brand names, and Richmond Raceway is a track where pit strategy can flip the leaderboard in a heartbeat.

NFL Preseason — What Matters Tonight

Titans at Falcons (7:00 pm ET)

Atlanta will be without Michael Penix Jr. and Kirk Cousins again, which means Easton Stick is in line for heavy work. Last week, Stick went 15 of 18 for 149 yards and a touchdown, carving up Tampa Bay’s backups in a quick-passing script. Expect more of the same indoors at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where weather is a non-factor.

Tennessee’s rookie quarterback Cam Ward was efficient in limited snaps last week (5 of 8, 67 yards) but the Titans’ offense is still largely a question mark, finishing bottom-five in scoring last season. Their protection broke down last week with three interceptions against the Bucs, which could give Atlanta short fields again.

Edge: Falcons’ passing depth with Stick should control tempo and time of possession.

Best Bet: Easton Stick Over 12.5 completions — his accuracy plus expected volume make this a high-percentage play.

Chiefs at Seahawks (10:00 pm ET)

Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are likely in street clothes tonight, with Gardner Minshew expected to start for Kansas City. Seattle, on the other hand, is planning to give starters a brief run, including QB Sam Darnold.

Lumen Field will be damp with light rain, which could push Seattle toward a balanced attack and short passes while the starters are on the field. The market opened Seahawks around -3, and the edge is in the first half before both teams clear the benches.

Edge: Seattle’s starters versus Kansas City’s backups in early action.

Best Bet: Seahawks First Half -1.5 — preseason is about exploiting mismatches in snap counts, and this is one of the clearest of the week.

Value Parlay: Falcons Moneyline + Seahawks Moneyline. Both teams have quarterback rotation advantages tonight, and in preseason, that’s more important than last year’s standings.

NASCAR Trucks — Richmond Raceway (eero 250)

Richmond’s 0.75-mile D-shaped oval is notorious for chewing up tires. Fall-off is severe, and races are often decided on pit road. Four-tire stops and clean execution are non-negotiable for a shot at the win.

Ty Majeski checks all the boxes here. He won at Richmond last year and has a crew that consistently delivers fast stops. Grant Enfinger is another name to circle — he was strong at Richmond in 2024 and thrives on short-flat tracks where patience and tire management pay off.

Weather is warm and partly cloudy tonight, which means the track should rubber in nicely, favoring teams that can maintain long-run pace. Expect green-flag stretches to magnify pit cycles.

Best Bet #1: Ty Majeski Top-3 finish — proven Richmond winner with elite pit crew support.

Best Bet #2: Grant Enfinger to win head-to-head versus any mid-tier opponent — his Richmond record gives him an edge in matchups.

Value Parlay: Majeski Top-5 in Trucks + Toyota as Top Manufacturer in Sunday’s Cup race. Toyota has dominated here recently, and Majeski’s style fits this track perfectly.

Final Word

NFL preseason betting isn’t about predicting which “team” is better — it’s about who’s on the field and for how long. Tonight, that means riding Easton Stick’s passing volume indoors in Atlanta and trusting Seattle’s starters to handle Kansas City’s backups early.

On the NASCAR side, Richmond is a chess match on asphalt. Majeski and Enfinger have shown they can play that game better than most, and with clean pit work, both should be in the mix when it counts.

📰 ClutchDailySports Sunday Recap — August 10, 2025

Sunday was stacked — from NFL preseason drama to WNBA playoff pushes and a loaded MLB slate, we had action coast to coast. Let’s break down what hit, what missed, and where the sharp reads paid off.

🏈 NFL Preseason: Dolphins vs. Bears Ends in a Tie

We called this one for betting value, and while the Dolphins looked strong early, the game ended in a 24–24 tie. Miami opened with a touchdown, not the field goal we predicted, so that prop missed. Caleb Williams showed flashes but didn’t hit the Over 1.5 TDs. Our Dolphins -2.5 pick didn’t land with the draw, and the total hit exactly 48 — well over the 38.5 line we leaned under on. Not our best NFL day, but the analysis on Miami’s fast start and Caleb’s extended reps held true.

❌ Misses: Dolphins -2.5, Dolphins FG First Score, Caleb Williams Over 1.5 TDs, Under 38.5

🏀 WNBA Sunday: Parlay Cracked, But Stars Still Shined

The WNBA slate gave us five matchups with playoff implications, and while our Safe Parlay Play missed thanks to the Liberty vs. Lynx staying under 166.5, the rest of the picks held strong. Wings ML cashed behind Paige Bueckers’ steady scoring, and Aces -12 was a no-doubt cover as A’ja Wilson dominated again. Sparks +3.5 also covered in a gritty battle with Seattle, and Mercury ML hit as Alyssa Thomas controlled the tempo.

✅ Hits: Wings ML, Aces -12, Sparks +3.5, Mercury ML

❌ Miss: Liberty vs. Lynx Over 166.5

Even with the parlay bust, individual plays delivered value. Props like Ogwumike rebounds and Wilson 25+ points were sharp angles for those who sprinkled extra.

⚾ MLB Sunday: Matchup Mastery and Prop Wins Galore

This was the breadwinner. Our MLB picks crushed across the board. Phillies -1.5 and Wheeler’s K prop both hit as Philly took down the Rangers 4–2. Twins -1.5 cashed behind Pablo López, and Astros ML was a clean win as Rodón struggled again. Julio Rodríguez delivered with a homer, and the Mariners held off the Rays 5–3. The Diamondbacks exploded for 13 runs against the Rockies, and the Dodgers edged the Blue Jays 3–2 behind homers from Ohtani and Freeman.

Our Safe Parlay Play — Astros Over 9, Reds Under 8, Phillies F5 -0.5 — hit clean, rounding out a monster day on the diamond.

✅ Hits: Phillies -1.5, Wheeler K Prop, Twins -1.5, Astros ML, J-Rod HR Prop, Mariners ML, D-backs -1.5, Dodgers ML, Safe Parlay Play

❌ Miss: Nationals upset Giants 8–0 (we leaned SF)

Even the misses were backed by solid logic — Gore’s 10 Ks and the Nationals’ offensive explosion were hard to predict, but the rest of the slate followed the script.

🔥 Final Word from ClutchDailySports

Sunday was a rollercoaster — a few preseason curveballs, a WNBA parlay bust, but a dominant MLB performance that made up for it all. From Wheeler’s strikeouts to A’ja’s paint dominance and Julio’s moonshot, the picks were sharp and the reads were real. Whether you tailed the parlays, chased props, or just soaked in the analysis, this was a day that rewarded prep and precision.

Bookmark this recap, learn from the swings, and let’s keep stacking wins all week long. 💰⚾🏀🏈

🏈 NFL Preseason – Dolphins vs. Bears Betting Preview + Props

The Dolphins and Bears face off today at 1:00 pm ET, and while it’s preseason, there’s still betting value to be found.

Miami Dolphins

  • Last season: 11-6, 2nd in AFC East.
  • Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle give Miami unmatched speed — though expect limited snaps.
  • QB depth: Mike White and Skylar Thompson will handle most reps.

Chicago Bears

  • Finished 7-10 last season, but looked sharper late in the year.
  • No. 1 pick Caleb Williams could get an extended look after a short Week 1 outing.
  • WR DJ Moore remains a preseason highlight reel.

Betting Lines (as of 8 AM EST):

  • Spread: Dolphins -2.5
  • Total: 37.5

Same-Game Parlay Idea (+500 range)

  • Bears +3.5 (alt spread)
  • Under 38.5
  • Caleb Williams Over 1.5 passing TDs (if available)

Prop Bets Worth Considering

  • First Scoring Play: Dolphins FG (+380) — Miami often starts conservatively in preseason.
  • Longest Reception: Tyreek Hill Over 21.5 yards — even one series could be enough.

Clutch Pick: Dolphins -2.5 if you trust their starters to set the pace. Otherwise, lean over 38.5 for a fun sweat.
