Betting Recap: Yesterday’s Wins and Losses

Yesterday was a mixed bag of highs and lows, with college football delivering some strong results while the MLB side of things left us wanting more. Let’s break it down.

College Football

The day started hot. Penn State handled Nevada with ease, cashing the first pick right out of the gate. Georgia followed up by rolling past Marshall, and Tennessee came through against Syracuse without much drama. That’s three solid wins in a row.

The only stumble came in the Alabama vs. Florida State matchup. From a betting angle, it was a miss. But as a huge FSU fan, it’s hard not to call that one a win in its own right—watching the Seminoles take down Alabama was pure joy, even if it broke the ticket.

On the parlay side, Ohio State moneyline and Penn State moneyline both hit, so that ticket cashed nicely and kept the momentum strong.

MLB

The baseball bets didn’t carry the same energy. Giancarlo Stanton didn’t connect for a homer, and Pete Alonso came up empty as well. The parlay went the same way, with Stanton and Schwarber both failing to leave the yard. The only bright spot was the Yankees on the moneyline, which did come through.

Final Thoughts

College football was the clear winner of the day, with most plays hitting and the parlay cashing in. MLB, on the other hand, cooled things off with missed home run props and a parlay that never had a chance. Still, anytime you finish up with a strong showing in football—and the Seminoles knocking off Alabama—it’s hard not to feel good about the day.
