If you followed along with us yesterday, you know it was one of those classic betting slates where the highs and lows balanced each other out. We had some sharp calls hit, a couple of tough breaks, and one or two that just didn’t go our way. Let’s break it down.
MLB Recap
- Spencer Strider Over 9 Strikeouts — Miss
Strider had the stuff but didn’t quite reach the double-digit strikeout mark we were hoping for. Just shy of the line, and that one stung. - Yankees -1.5 (Alt Run Line) vs. Nationals — Hit
New York came through big, covering the alternate run line and giving us a solid win on the card. - Parlay (Strider 8+ Strikeouts + Braves/Marlins Under 8.5 Runs)
- Strider 8+ Ks — Miss
- Braves/Marlins Under 8.5 — Hit
Half right on this one, but parlays don’t pay for being halfway correct.
WNBA Recap
- Marina Mabrey Over 2.5 Three-Pointers — Hit
Mabrey lit it up from deep, cashing this play with confidence. - A’ja Wilson Over 25.5 Points — Miss
- Wilson put in a strong performance, but she fell short of the lofty scoring line. Close, but not enough to cash.
- Parlay (Mabrey 3+ Threes + Wilson Over 25.5 Points)
- Mabrey Over 2.5 Threes (+145) — Hit
- Wilson Over 25.5 Points (-105) — Miss Another parlay that had promise but ended up splitting.
- Connecticut Sun +12 vs. Spread — Hit. The Sun battled hard and kept it within the number, giving us another win on the WNBA side.
Final Thoughts
Yesterday’s card was the definition of a mixed bag. We nailed some solid individual plays — especially with the Yankees’ alternate run line and Mabrey’s sharpshooting — but the parlays just didn’t cooperate. That’s the nature of the game: take the wins, learn from the misses, and keep the momentum rolling.
We’ll regroup, lock in today’s matchups, and aim for a stronger slate. Stay tuned, because we’re not done cashing tickets this week.
